About Frognet

[Updated Feb. 25, 2004]

ATTENTION YAHOO! GROUPS USERS: You must be subscribed to this list HERE (and not just at the Yahoo! Groups site) to be able to post messages. This is also explained on the Yahoo! Groups frognet site, so please read there also to understand how this list works.

ATTENTION ALL USERS: If you send email to the list from an address which is not subscribed the message(s) will be automatically rejected. For instance, if you post from froglover@myworkaddress.com but are only subscribed as froglover@myhomeaddress.com your message will be discarded automatically by the list software. If you wish to post to the list from several addresses you are welcome to subscribe several addresses. You can even Disable Mail Delivery (via the subscription options page) on all but one address if you prefer not to get list messages several times.

This group is the same one that is archived at Yahoo! Groups as frognet, at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/frognet. You may view and search archives and other resources there, but you must be a member HERE (through subscribing at frognet.org) to post to the group.

The Frognet mailing list (originally at frognet@bb-elec.com) was founded in 1996 by Anthony Hundt, and was solely maintained and administered by him until April of 2002, when it moved to its new home at frognet.org. We are currently working on a new description/charter, but the past info still holds true, in the meantime:

FrogNet is an international mailing list that is dedicated to people who are interested in dendrobatids (poison-dart frogs), atelopids (harlequin frogs), and mantellas (mantella frogs). All posts that deal with the husbandry and breeding of these frogs are welcome. Questions about other types of animals (e.g., lizards) are allowed only if they are asked with respect to the frogs listed above.

To see the collection of prior postings to the frognet@frognet.org list (starting in late March 2002), visit the Frognet Archives. Links to older archives will be added as they are rounded up. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
